"Magic Carpet" is a mesmerizing EP that promises to transport listeners on a musical journey through the realms of dream and wonder. The release features the title track "Magic Carpet," the ethereal "Dreamer," a mind-bending "Magic Carpet (Hauy Remix)," and a stripped-down Dub Mix of Magic Carpet- Each track is a sonic work of art in its own right, delivering a kaleidoscope of emotions, soundscapes, and energy.The inspiration behind "Magic Carpet" is drawn from the enchanting lyrics of the title track, which invite listeners to join the dreamer on a magical adventure. The lyrics tell the tale of a dreamer taking flight on a mystical carpet beneath a moonlit sky, embarking on a quest filled with challenges and marvels, guided by the carpet's wisdom. Fear is left behind, and courage propels the dreamer forward, embracing the unknown with a heart full of gratitude. As the dreamer reaches the mountaintop, they bid farewell to the carpet, ready to chase new dreams with the magic within them forever.
Sounds of Khemit proudly presents "Osiris Awareness," an electronic music release that draws inspiration from the rich tapestry of ancient Egypt and the profound wisdom of Osiris, the legendary figure who governed domains as diverse as awareness, consciousness, fertility, and rebirth.Intricately weaving together the mystique of Osiris's reign, "Osiris Awareness" transports listeners to a realm where ancient and modern converge. This release captures the essence of Osiris's vast influence over the very rhythms of consciousness, the bounty of growth, the life-giving fields of agriculture, and the awe-inspiring act of transformation.
"Étoile Filante," the original track by Nhii & Zababa, serves as the sonic canvas for these talented remixers to paint their artistic visions. Deckert's remix explores intricate melodies, while Mono & Kusten dive into the deep, immersive waters of melodic house. Foelie infuses the track with an otherworldly, ambient atmosphere, and Kakura’s remix injects an energetic, dancefloor-friendly vibe. Collectively, these remixes breathe new life into a composition, which gained support by Black Coffee and more. A promising listening experience that is both meditative and danceable.

His track Ala Bora was originally released as part of hisTehuti Wisdom EP from 2022, and these new versions breathe fresh life into the modernclassic.
Sounds of Khemit, a renowned electronic music label hailing from the vibrant streets of Brooklyn, New York, is thrilled to announce their upcoming release titled "Ankh." This captivating musical compilation draws inspiration from the ancient Khemitian symbol, the Ankh, renowned as the key of life.
WHAT’S NEW
This October, Amsterdam opens its doors once again for ADE - and for the first time in four years, Sounds of Khemit won't be inside.
The last four editions gave us some of our favorite moments as a label. Warm rooms that filled up with old friends and new faces, showcases that felt less like industry nights and more like family reunions, and mornings-after where the only topic was the music. We're grateful for every single one of those nights, and for everyone who danced through them with us.
This year we're pressing pause. Not because the love isn't there - it very much is - but because we want to take a breath and reflect on what we've created these past four years, and on where we want to take our music next. Sometimes the best way to move forward is to stand still for a moment and really listen.
We'll miss Amsterdam in October. The canals, the late nights, and most of all, all of you.
Thank you for four beautiful years. We can't wait to show you what this pause is making room for.

Nhii and J Feliz have released La Bodega, a charity single on WAYU Records, with 100% of net recording proceeds going to InspireDR.
The record started at BeatRetreat, where J Feliz stepped up to the mic for a live recording session with no lyrics prepared and delivered a freestyle full of rhythm, personality and Dominican spirit. Those takes reached Nhii, who built rolling basslines, textured synths and acid-infused grooves around the raw vocal while keeping the jam alive.
Nhii remembers the attitude of the recording: "It was alive, a great starting point for a record."
Nhii, J Feliz, WAYU Records and distribution partner Proton each donated their share of the master royalties. InspireDR runs free after-school programmes for underserved boys in the Dominican Republic - education, mentorship and the guidance to become responsible men and leaders in their communities.
The press picked it up too. Electronic Groove traced the record back to BeatRetreat and the visit to InspireDR, Music is 4 Lovers ran a long-form conversation with Nhii, J Feliz and WAYU founder Julian Castaneda, WAYU Records told it from the inside, and When We Dip heard a dancefloor record that keeps the authenticity of the original freestyle intact.

We’ll be taking over with a full Funktion 1 sound setup, and the lineup features some of the best Sounds of Khemit talent, including Nhii, Gespona, Saqib, B.o.T, and Amadori. To make this event even more special, we’ve also got support from Alex Cecil and Aquariox from Miami.
This showcase will embody the rich, immersive sounds you’ve come to expect from the Sounds of Khemit and it wil unravel the upcoming releases of the label as well as featuring many unheard tracks music of the artists.
Nhii's Patreon page offers a unique opportunity for fans and aspiring artists to dive deeper into the world of electronic music. Through this platform, Nhii shares invaluable industry insights, production techniques, and behind-the-scenes knowledge, all drawn from his extensive experience as a DJ and producer. Patrons gain access to exclusive listening sessions, where they can preview unreleased tracks and get a first look at Nhii's creative process. This community is a space for learning, inspiration, and connection, offering members a chance to grow alongside one of electronic music's most innovative artists.
Minimal Mag: The Sounds of Khemit label launched 2021 with a base in Brooklyn and a thread of inspiration running back to Egypt. The imprint has focused on various artists releases, drawing on some of the more interesting producers around the globe to further their message. We caught up with label founder and visionary Wael and label boss Chris Nhii to hear more.
